The 1997 Dodge Intrepid was not our 1st choice for a new Competition install. Honestly, it wasn't even in my top ten choices; but you take what you can get and make the best of it.
We had lost the Chevy truck just two months before Usac World Finals. After recouping the monetary loss, and getting the finances together for a different install, we had less than a month to get the car ready for World Finals. It was gonna be a close one. We actually finished the last two panels for the car at 2am, 2 hours past our departure time.
Here, you can see the distribution & fuse blocks. There was also three 3 farad MA Audio caps behind the dark plexi. They were sealed off from the rest of the install for points value, and back-lit with green neon.
This shot shows the three P120XXL subwoofers in thier ported enclosure. The smoke plexi in the floor is the amprack. It was lit up with green neon as well. There was an Xtant 1001d and a MA Audio hc-504 in it.
This picture shows the 8" kick panels for the Image Dynamic woofers.
The factory windshield washer reservoir was tossed, so I could drop the battery low in the fender well. This was done to make room for the 2nd altenator. Another reservoir was used, but was soon replaced.
