A new system went in the car for the '06 season. After the year we had in 2005, I believe this will be the last year for the Intrepid. The car took a hell of a beating making the 26 events we entered in last season.
The kit wasn't getting the attention I wanted, so I fabbed another one. This one has the radio flushed into it.
I felt it was time to add some A/V to the car, so I dropped in a few old screens. The AVH-P6400 was gutted, and flushed into the dash where the voltage guages were. The screen motorizes open, out of the dash. I needed a new home for the guages, so I installed them into the rear-view mirror.
Venturing through the junkyard, a place you frequent when you own an old Intrepid; I found this overhead console. I took the other screen I had and made me a flip-down.
The Alarm pod got some new paint, but remained intact. The radiator was pulled when the old amps went. This photo (right) shows the new radiator X2. The amps were lquid-cooled, this time so were the woofers.
This is the new amprack. There is a plexi "arc" in the center, that the fuse block is mounted to. This adds a neat look to the trunk.
