Lexus IS redo
A new installation kit was built to hold all of the performance controllers and the double din Premier head unit. Both sections of the kit were built using ABS plastic. The top piece was shaped and sanded without using any body filler. The bottom piece bent and shaped out of one piece of plastic.
Alpine PDX amps were chosen for the new system. Boston G3 10" woofers were used for the subs. Plexi pedistals were cut and lit up with red LED's. They have the appearance of floating above the trunk floor. The fiberglass enclosure was painted red and has red LED accent lighting above it to light up the trunk.
We had a customer come in to get a system installed. He bought all of the speakers and radio from us, but had his own amps. We were talking to him about kick panels, explaining how much more sound they can add to an older truck like his. He wanted to do the system, but didn't want to spend a lot of money. So I built him these simple kicks for him.
This is a ported box for some Boston subs I built for a Suburban.
Ford Cobra
The driver side panel hides the pump for a methanol injection system. I followed the look on both sides of the trunk, adding the SVT logo on plexi to break up all of the black vinyl.
The entire trunk was trimned out. The customer has red stripes on his seats, so i followed the theme into the trunk. This shot shows the wiring for the relocated battery. The mount for the circuit breaker is made out of ABS.
The factory radio was replaced with a Kenwood double din. I ran the iPod and USB cables into the glove compartment. Since i was doing custom in the trunk, I had to do something for all of these plugs.
Here is the finished trunk with Cobra finished on the trunk lid. Looking through the trunk lid, you can see the striping on the seats and how that striping followed through into the trunk.
Since it is a Cobra, I had to add my own little touch somewhere!
2009 Honda Big Red
This customer wanted to find his way around the deer lease. I installed the Pioneer F90BT where the glove compartment was. The kit is built out of ABS and no body filler was used.
This customer came in with the system already installed, but wanted it louder. I pulled out everything in the trunk and started from scratch. I installed a couple of Kinetik cells on the driver side of the trunk and built ported boxes for his subs.
